111.TV.178 – This episode of The Big Picture follows UN troops between April and May 1951. The film details the Chinese communist spring offensive and the subsequent counterattacks by UN forces. The episode also highlights the firsthand accounts of Captain Molly Younger, a member of the Mobile Army Surgical Hospital (MASH), and Sergeant Mike Preputnick, a combat medic. Both of their stories recount the importance and success of quick medical treatment of troops. The episode does not shy away from showing the numerous medical challenges faced by UN forces in the Korean theater.
