Mission of the NCO Journal

The NCO Journal, the official magazine of noncommissioned officer professional development, is published under the Army University Press located at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas.

The NCO Journal provides a forum for the open exchange of ideas and information pertinent to the NCO Corps; supports training, education and development of the NCO Corps; and fosters a closer bond among its members. Views expressed by individual authors are not necessarily the official views of or endorsed by the U.S. government or the Department of the Army.

The secretary of the Army has determined that the publication of this periodical is necessary in the transaction of the public business as required by the law of the department. Funds for printing this publication were approved by the secretary of the Army in accordance with the provisions of AR 25-30.

Unless otherwise indicated, material may be reprinted provided credit is given to the author and to the NCO Journal.
